The Design Concept
The "Design Concept" is our way to communicate the potential and possibilities of what your space can be transformed into.
After understanding your goals and aesthetic, your dreams for your space, and your budget,
we take a look at the inspirational images you shared with us on the idea book we created for you.
Once we have agreed on the new floor plan, generated from the previous phase ( Floor plan re-configuration), and solidified some preliminary concepts for major design elements, we bring the design to this exciting stage.
We start working on the design concept for every room, creating the overall & the details of the interiors (dropped and recessed ceilings/indirect lighting/wall masses/ staircase/ wall coverings & textures/ etc.). We hand sketch some concepts so you can start to imagine the different possibilities your space can have. Those sketches point you in the direction of the design we’re heading to.
Finishing Materials
Choosing the finishing materials that will be applied to your interiors is a key component in creating a custom design that goes with the Design Concept, and creates a seamless flow from one space to the other. Examples of finishing materials are, flooring, wall color, wall coverings, countertops, backsplash, cabinets, tiles....etc
While we work on the "Design concept", we simultaneously work on suggesting finishing materials and color schemes for your space. We look into which material will best fit your needs and aesthetics as well as satisfy the overall new design concept.
Our goal is to choose materials that are beautiful, functional and within your budget. We depend on a combination of meetings and online exchanges to continue through this phase. We, then, present you with a variety of materials, especially those you would not think to include, after all that's why you hired us!
Once you approve the materials selected, we then generate 3D shots, showing you different angles of the space, combining the design concept with the selected materials.
